The Exploited lyrics Daniel Johnston lyrics

Daniel Dale Johnston better known as Daniel Johnston born on August 22, 1961, is an American musician and artist influenced by John Lennon, The Beatles and their platonic love "Laurie."

Johnston's songs have been described as depressed and stormy, present a mixture of naive and scary.

Throughout his career Johnston has undergone changes in vocal tone produced by excessive smoking and tooth loss. His performances often seem hesitant and uncertain. One critic described his records as "flashes of lucidity."

Johnston began his career in the late 70's singing, playing the piano, organ and strings. Daniel distributed his films through his art to all people who want to take them and created a comic art as a cover sheet that accompanied his recordings.

In his first songs established a number of themes that have recurred in Johnston's career as unrequited love, Casper the friendly ghost, and comic book superheroes as Captain America and other heroes of Jack Kirby addition, many of the songs and the art of Johnston it reveal a propensity toward religious prosetilismo on his conception of Christianity, warnings about the devil and fixing the number 9.
