Two Minutes is a punk rock band originally from Argentina, formed in the south of Greater Buenos Aires, specifically in Valentín Alsina, belonging to the Partido de Lanús. The band formed in 1987 and debuted on Saturday July 8, 1989, the same day you made the change of government in Argentina. Its current members are: Walter "Fly" Velázquez (voice), "Papa" (bass), Monty Montes (drums), Marcelo "Pedro" Pedroza (guitar) and Paul (guitar), including single "Fly" and "Papa" are the only two original band members.
"Valentín Alsina (1994) is the title the first album in tribute to their hometown. The hit, "You're not the same," an allusion to a neighbor Kiosquero, by chance, it was also learned that the Federal Police officer. Most songs are about the neighborhood, the reality of workers overwhelmed by low wages, long hours of work and the need to leave the oppressive system. The third album was released in mid-1997, while the celebrations lasted for 10 years of the band. "Trigger happy" was the cut distribution and outstanding issues, "What bad luck" and "Memories in the sand." The album sold 15,000 copies in a month, which led to the label to renew the contract. their fourth album, "2 minute warning" published in 1999, in which "I'm Away" was one of the issues highlighted along with "Letter to ET" (a song about pollution, global warming). In 2000 they edited torches, his fifth studio album which contains a neat sound and focusing more on issues of daily life of each of its members include Jason and always the same.
"Superocho" was released in 2004, with 16 songs recorded at Estudios El Pie that maintain the same style that has always characterized them.
"A world of sensations" was recorded in 2006 with the production of Juanchi Baleiron (Los Pericos). With a neat sound, the band consisted by Paul (guitar, vocals), Monti (drums), Papa (bass), Pedro (guitar and vocals) and Fly (voice). Among the guests stand Teysera Sebastián (La Vela Puerca), Diego Blanco and Juanchi (Los Pericos) and Claudio O'Connor. The first cut was "Airport."
Argentine punk Cultists are considered as followers of rapists and Attaque 77 and Argentina were the first punk band that performed in the U.S. during their American tour in 1995. They filled the legendary CBGB, the New York club that fired the punk Ramones, Television and Patti Smith twenty years earlier. They supported the Ramones in his farewell world in March of '96, at the stadium River. They have also recently played with The Shawshank Redemption in 2006 and is a touring band that has given much chance to bands just starting. Recently Mega 98.3 fm radio broadcast the concert which commemorated its 20 th anniversary.
